Summer 1945. A group of RAF soldiers return from World War II. Shortly after their arrival, Claudio and Hero fall madly in love, while Benedick and Beatrice reignite their more combative courtship, to the amusement of family and friends. Shakespeare's comic romance plays out amidst the high spirits of post-war celebrations at Hotel Messina, home of Leonato. As youthful passions run riot, lovers are deceived and chaos ensues.
